What We Believe and Teach:

+  There is one true and holy God, who has revealed Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and that this Triune (3 in 1) God has created all that exists, provided for man’s forgiveness and salvation in Jesus, the Christ, and brings people to faith in Jesus.

 (Deuteronomy 6:4; Genesis 1:1;  Jeremiah 32:17; Matthew 28:19-20; II Corinthians 13:14;  I Corinthians 8:5-6; Mark 12:29; Psalm 19:1)

+  God sent His only Son, Jesus, born of the Virgin Mary, to live on this earth, without sin, among human beings, to die on a cross for the sins of all people, and to rise again offering to all who believe in Him full forgiveness  of sin and a place with Him in Heaven when life in this world ends.

(Mark 10:45; John 1:1 & 14; John 3:16 & 36; John 14:6; Isaiah 9:6-7; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-37; Luke 2:1-14; Romans 3:21-25; II Corinthians 5:17-21; Philippians 2:5-8; John 19:30; I John 2:1-2; Hebrews 11:1; I Timothy 2:5)

+  The 66 books of the Bible (39 in the Old Testament and  27 in the New Testament) are inspired by God, written by human beings at His direction, and that they are true, without error, and unchanging.  These Scriptures are the basis for all matters of faith and life.

(II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105)

+  God works through the means of His Word in the Bible, especially in the Good News about Jesus.  Through this Good News, by the power of His Holy Spirit, He brings people to believe in Jesus and keeps them growing in that faith during their life in this world.

(Romans 1:16; John 17:17; Luke 16:13; Romans 8:9; Romans 8:14-17; I Corinthians 3:16; Galatians 5:16-17; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 4:30; I Corinthians 12:3)

+  God has given us also the means of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper through which He also works in us, by His Holy Spirit, to bring us to faith and keep us in that faith throughout our life in this world.

(Matthew 28:19-20; John 3:5-8; I Corinthians 12:13; Titus 3:4-7; I Peter 3:18-22; Luke 22:14-20; I Corinthians 11:23-29)

+  There are two main messages in the Bible:  1. The Law—which tells us what we are to do and not to do; and which also shows us we are sinners  and  2. The Gospel—which tells us what God has done for us; and shows us Jesus as our only Savior from sin.

(Matthew 5:48; Romans 3:10-18, 23-24; John 3:16-17; Romans 5:8; Romans 1:16)

+  Jesus Christ, both God and human, took on human form being born of the Virgin Mary;  lived a perfect life in this world;  died for the sins of all on the cross;  rose to life again, thereby, providing victory over sin, death and the Devil for all who believe in Him; and that He will come again, at the end of time, to give eternal victory in Heaven for believers in Him but to banish to Hell all who do not believe in Him.

(Matthew 8:17; Acts 8:32-35; Ephesians 2:8-10; John 5:24-29; Romans 2:5-11; Matthew 25:31-46; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelations 7:9-17, 21:1-4; Romans 8:37-39; I Peter 2:21-25)

+  God wants all to believe in Jesus;  to be saved from sin through His shed blood on the cross;  to become His disciples;  and to continue growing deeper in relation to Him, living in service to Him in this world by telling and showing to others His love for them also.

  (Colossians 4:5-6; Acts 1:8; I Timothy 2:1-6; Matthew 4:18-22; Luke 14:25-27; John 10:10)

+  God calls people, out of the world, to believe in Jesus, and brings them together in the Church (the Body of Christ) to worship and serve Him in this world.

(Matthew 16:13-19; Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:3-21; I Corinthians 12:7-13; Ephesians 4:1-16; I Peter 4:7-11)
